Designed to return rental income, this home is set high in the hills of Point Clare and enjoys 180 degree views over Brisbane Water. The home is a compact design that aimed to maximise the internal space while keeping build costs as low as possible. The home features an open plan kitchen, living, dining with a master bedroom occupying the ground floor. The remaining bedrooms are then located on a split level to the rear. This meant that nearly every room in the house enjoys an outlook the

water. Designed as a modern interpretation of a pole home the impact of the site on the build cost is minimised by steel frames and elevated platforms minimising the points of contact with the unstable soil. The pole style house still remains the most effective way to build on a steep sloping site. Simple finishes and a practical aesthetic keeps maintenance to a minimum, and the rental return is maximised through the open plan and water views
